Day 2.....
Queen - Radio Ga Ga (Extended Version)
I’m not a massive Queen fan but immediately liked “Radio
Ga Ga” when it was released and if my memory serves me correctly it is the only
12 inch vinyl single I own of the band.
What is surprising is that the track was written by
drummer Roger Taylor.
Again this is a traditional 80s styled 12 Inch Extended
version clocking in at nearly 7 minutes, the 12 inch is backed by an extended
instrumental on the B side as well as the track “I Go Crazy”, which is the same
version that appears on the B side of the 7 inch.
“Radio Ga Ga” was released in late January 1984 and was a
massive hit across the world, where it reached number 1 in 19 countries, in The
UK the single peaked at Number 2.
Interesting fact about this particular song is that it
was played at every live show from 1984 to their last concert with lead singer Freddie
Mercury in 1986.
12 INCH VINYL TRACK LISTING

B1 Radio Ga Ga

Finding the extended version on CD or Digital Download is
pretty much impossible, however, the original vinyl 12 Inch can still be
purchased here:
