Donny Osmonds brief reign at number one is over after just one week, Gilbert O’Sullivan climbing to number one with “Get Down”. Gary Glitter goes straight into this week’s chart at number 17, with “Hello Hello, I’m Back Again”. Three records move into this week’s top 20, Jimmy Osmond with “Tweedle Dee”, at number 6, Mud with “Crazy”, at number 18 and Stuart Gilles with “Amanda”.

Three songs climb four places on this week’s chart, Dawn Ft Tony Orlando, with “Tie A Yellow Ribbon Round the Old Oak Tree”, moving up to number 3, The O’Jays with “Love Train”, moving up to number 9 and Roxy Music with “Pyjamarama” moving up to number 13.
