It’s a third week at number one for Slade with “Skweeze Me Pleeze Me” and Peters and Lee stay at number two with “Welcome Home”, as David Bowie moves up one place, to number 3 with “Life on Mars”. The Osmonds go straight into the charts with “Going Home” at number 18.

Three records move into the top 20 this week, “Saturday Nights Alright for Fighting” by Elton John, is number 9, “Randy” by Blue Mink, who are at number 13 and “Step by Step” by Joe Simon, which is at number 14.

Paul Simon, Dave Edmunds and Hotshots all climb two places this week.
