The Rubettes make it 3 weeks at number one with “Sugar Baby Love”, with both the Bay City Rollers and Sparks remaining at number two and three respectively. Five singles move into this week’s top 20, “Hey Rock and Roll” by Showaddywaddy, which is number 6, “The Streak” by Ray Stevens, at number 13, “The ‘In’ Crowd” by Bryan Ferry, at number 16, “Judy Teen” by Cockney Rebel, which is number 17 and “(You Keep Me) Hanging On” by Cliff Richard, at number 20.

The biggest climber this week is Gigliola Cinquetti with “Go (Before You Break My Heart)”, which climbs 8 places to number 8.
