ABBA are number one for a second week in a row, as The Rubettes, with “Sugar Baby Love” move into the top 20 at number two. Four other singles move into the top 20 this week, “Red Dress” by Alvin Stardust, who is at number 11, “The Night Chicago Died” by Paper Lace, which is number 14, “I Can’t Stop” by The Osmonds, which is number 16 and “Spiders and Snakes” by Jim Stafford, who is number 18.

Three records share the honour of being this week’s biggest climbers, “Don’t Stay Away Too Long” by Peters and Lee, climb 7 places to number 4, “Shang-A-Lang” by the Bay City Rollers, which climbs 7 places to number 5 and “He’s Misstra Know-It-All” by Stevie wonder, again up 7 places to number 10.
