The Simon Park Orchestra stay at number one for the 4th week, as David Cassidy climbs from number 8 to number 2, with “Daydreamer / Puppy Song”. David Bowie has two records in the top twenty this week, “Laughing Gnome”, at number 6 and he goes straight into this week’s chart at number 16 with “Sorrow”. Four songs move into the top 20, “Showdown” by the Electric Light Orchestra, are at number 14, “That Lady” by The Isley Brothers, is at number 17, “Knocking on Heaven’s Door” by Bob Dylan, is number 18 and “5:15” by The Who, is at number 20.

This week’s biggest climber is the Detroit Spinners with “Ghetto Child”, which climbs 8 places to number 12.
