For this weeks feature we go back to April 1982 and the self titled debut album by A Flock Of Seagulls.

The band consisted of brothers Ali & Mike Score, Paul Reynolds and Frank Maudsley, Mike Score was the one with the hideous haircut!!

The album was well received and contained one of their most popular hits "I Ran", strangley the band were bigger in the states than they were here, mainly on the back of the track "I Ran". It certainly is a classic new wave album.

The album featured 4 singles, "Telecommunication" (which failed to chart), "Modern Love Is Automatic", (which also failed to make the UK Singles Chart), "I Ran (So Far Away), (which only reached number 43 in the UK Singles Chart - in America it reached number 9 on the Billboard chart), and "Space Age Love Song" (which reached number 32 in the UK Singles Chart - Number 10 in the States).

The album peaked at number 32 in the UK Album Chart, pretty disappointing considering it is without doubt their finest album, it faired better in America, where it reached number 10 on the Billboard chart.
