Midnight Drive EP by Fused reviewed

Mark Kendrick (Fused) continues his impressive run of Fused releases with a new EP called "Midnight Drive".

The original mix is a wonderful warm synth epic, arps and pads and of course synth sounds, an impressive sound palette, superbly produced, really does sound impressive.

The "Alternative Route" mix has a great Bass driven intro, Depeche Mode springs to mind. I like the use of different synths on this version of the song, the mix flows really well, again the arp sounds work a treat, production is top notch, my favourite track off the EP and at 6 minutes, pure perfection that packs a punch.

The "Lounge Mix" is exactly that, laid back feel and an interesting take on the track, impressive that he has taken the song into such a diverse direction, but it works, great for chilling out to. Starts off minimalistic and develops to an intense finish.

The "Home" mix has wonderful pads at the start and is the bedrock of the mix, pads are warm and lush which suit the ambience of the track perfectly, in parts you can definitely hear a Pet Shop Boys influence, a wonderful excursion into the ambient genre.

A very impressive EP that is exceptionally produced. 5/5

The 4 track EP is available on CD and as a Digital Download from Bandcamp:
